Murder
|
Murder is the unlawful killing of one human being by another. Not every death caused by another person is considered murder. Murder is generally defined by the elements of malice, aforethought, and the lack of justification.
Murder is generally the most serious charge the government can bring against an individual. It carries very severe prison sentences, up to a life sentence in Iowa courts, and federally, a potential death penalty.
